How do you change the brakes on a 1996 ford probe gt?

I am a girl I need to learn how to do this I don't have extra money to spend so I can't go buy the book. I have to take my 2 year old to the doctor and the brakes are so bad that I am scared to take him in the car. Please help serioulsy. How do you change the brakes on a 1996 ford probe gt?What do you have as far as tools? you will need something to loosen the front lug nuts, a jack, a set of wrenches, a c-clamp or a brake pad spreader, and possibly a few more. If the brake rotors are shot (pitted and grooved) you will need to have them resurfaced or replaced. If you have never done this before, you may be getting in over your head. Go to a pep boys store and get a FREE brake inspection. they will give you an itemized estimate with a list of parts required, and tell you if you need new rotors or if the old ones are ok to resurface. How do you change the brakes on a 1996 ford probe gt?ask your boyfriendHow do you change the brakes on a 1996 ford probe gt?The answer cant be explained over the net. You need someone to show you. Its not too easy and if you do it wrong you will be needing to see the Doctor too!!!! You have to jack the car up, take off the wheel by unscrewing the lugnuts (which is even hard for strong men to do), get break pads, and new rotars (depending on how long youve let the pads rub them) with all 4 tires. Etc Etc Etc, like I said its not that easy. Sorry, but I wouldnt risk it.How do you change the brakes on a 1996 ford probe gt?Why are you intelligent enough to have a 2 year old, but can't figure out how to find a friend to help you change brake pads?
