How do you stop your disc brakes from squeeking?

I have a 2003 dodge neon and i replaced the front disc brakes... rotors and pads... and they keep squeeking... i have cleaned them with brake cleaner and at the car wash, still doing the same thing. wanted to know if anyone had any ideas. the brake pad hardware is built on the pad, it is not seperate. How do you stop your disc brakes from squeeking?well if your sure its the brake pad then there may be nothing you can do it may be a defect in that cars specs. How do you stop your disc brakes from squeeking? Some folks say that driving slowly in reverse while keeping light pressure on the brake pedal will do the job. If it doesn't, I really recommend taking the vehicle in to a brake shop....it's too important not to have it safely taken care of.How do you stop your disc brakes from squeeking?Did you clean the rotors with brake cleaner before driving? If you didn't then you might have to replace the pads again and turn/machine the rotors. Rotors ship with a light oil on the surface to extend shelf life (helps prevent rust) if you don't clean them before use they squeek.

In some cases, cheap pads will squeek (organic). Its always better to spend a couple bucks more for some semi-metalic or ceramic pads. How do you stop your disc brakes from squeeking?try getting a ceramic type of brake pad sets the posi quiet series
