How often is it normal for a car to need to have its brake fluid flushed? If it has to be flushed more often?

does that indicate that there is a problem with the brakes? How often do a car's brakes need to be adjusted? How often is it normal for a car to need to have its brake fluid flushed? If it has to be flushed more often?no just keep adding when needed. when they replace your brakes. they will tell you if it needs to be done. the ones that need adjustments are the rear brakes. it all depents how old your brakes are. or when you take it in you can request adjustments. should not cost much if need adjustment. How often is it normal for a car to need to have its brake fluid flushed? Disk brakes should never need an adjustment.

Drum brakes on modern cars are self adjusting (with in limits), learn how to use this feature on your car.

I know manufacturers have a recommendation on flushing brakes. I tried to find some one to do it once. Even the brake shops were not set up for it. The reasoning is that brake fluid collects moisture and turns corrosive and it will eat up the bores on cylinders. The only cars that I have seen this on had been setting for over 10 years unused. So if you are driving your car on a regular basis, most likely with normal maintenance (brake changes) you will never see it.

Right now in the drive way are two cars that are 19 model years old. Neither has had a brake flush, one did have a caliper replaced. But that was not the lack of a flush that caused the problem.
