How much does it usually cost for front brakes?

I have to get my front brakes done next week, how much should I expect to spend? And what is too much? I will be calling around for the best price. How much does it usually cost for front brakes? You should tell us what kind of car. Ford and Chevy parts are cheap. Jaguar and Benz parts aren't.

Don't get the cheapest brakes. They are the loudest and will not last long. The pads will also warp the rotors quickly.

For a regular domestic or Asian car, look to spend up to $75 each on rotors (if they need to be replaced), and around $60 for a set of pads, plus shop supplies, plus labor costs. If you need to have the brake fluid replaced (should be done every 30,000 miles), that will cost $35 (Sears) to $80 (reputable shops).

So two rotors at $35 each, $60 pads, brake fluid bleeding...you're looking at $300.

If you replace just the pads, should be around $100, unless you get better quality pads (ceramic pads).

If you have a Japanese or European car, be careful. The mechanic might overtighten the wheels' lug nuts by using an impact wrench instead of manually tightening with a torque wrench. If this happens, the brake rotors will warp quickly, resulting in a vibrating steering wheel when braking. This happens because the lug nuts weren't torqued evenly in a star-shaped pattern. Also, it will be very difficult, sometimes impossible, to manually remove a wheel if you get a flat tire, and the lug nuts are overtightened. I specify Japanese and European cars because they are not supposed to be tightened as much as the bigger American cars. You need to find a mechanic who knows about this and cares about cars. How much does it usually cost for front brakes?a nice pair of brakes alone dont cost more than $30, rest is labor... which is pretty simple. Dont pay more than $100.How much does it usually cost for front brakes?$15 to $30 depending on type of pad material and brand name. Remember, you get what you pay for.How much does it usually cost for front brakes?doing front brakes is easy

yet letting someone else do it like a shop

expect to pay labor

brakes themselves are not very expensive

yet you can expect to pay more for higher quality brakesHow much does it usually cost for front brakes?Depends on the car and what needs to be done.

If you don't need new rotors and can get the ones on there turned and you only need new pads, not calipers - $150 - $200 would be reasonable. A local mechanic may get you in and out for $100 or so.

Rotors can add quite a bit of expense, so if they tell you new rotors are needed, buy your own and bring them in with you. You can save over $100 doing that. How much does it usually cost for front brakes? In my country it costs about 25 Dollars, I wish yours dont cost more. How much does it usually cost for front brakes? It depends on the car.
